responsibilities:
- Diagnose, modify, and repair avionics systems;
- Assemble or modify various electrical cables according to technical specifications;
- Develop and interpret plans, drawings, and schematics related to avionics systems;
- Test and inspect wiring to ensure integrity, making necessary repairs;
- Incorporate updates to technical drawings in compliance with safety standards;
- Analyze and respond to system modification requests;
- Provide technical support to operational teams;
- Perform other related duties as assigned in connection with avionics systems;
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date technical documentation, integrating any modifications;
- Collaborate with technical and maintenance teams to coordinate corrective actions.
Required skills:
- You have a College diploma (DEC) in avionics technology and 0-3 years of relevant experience, ideally in avionics maintenance;
- You have E license or in the process of obtaining it (significant asset);
- You’re flexible and can work on a rotation 4-3 schedule (4 days on, 3 days off);
- You have strong technical skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting avionics issues;
- You have analytical ability to interpret and modify technical schematics and plans;
- You have adaptability to ongoing technological advancements in the aviation sector;
- You have organizational skills and ability to prioritize actions in urgent situations;
- You have knowledge of Transport Canada certification standards;
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
- You’re proficient in French (spoken and written) and have a good knowledge of English for technical manuals.
