Responsibilities
- Diagnose, modify, and repair avionics systems.
- Assemble or modify various electrical cables according to technical specifications.
- Develop and interpret plans, drawings, and schematics related to avionics systems.
- Test and inspect wiring to ensure integrity, making necessary adjustments.
- Incorporate updates to technical drawings in compliance with safety standards.
- Analyze and respond to system modification requests.
- Provide technical support to operational teams.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in connection with avionics systems.
Core Tasks
- Diagnose issues in avionics systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Assemble and test complex wiring systems in accordance with safety requirements.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date technical documentation, integrating any modifications.
- Collaborate with technical and maintenance teams to coordinate corrective actions.
Required skills
- Strong technical skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting avionics issues.
- Analytical ability to interpret and modify technical schematics and plans.
- Adaptability to ongoing technological advancements in the aviation sector.
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize actions in urgent situations.
Requirements
- College diploma (DEC) in avionics technology.
- E license or in the process of obtaining it, a significant asset.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in avionics maintenance.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts (day, evening, and night).
- Knowledge of Transport Canada certification standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; French an asset.
- Resident of Edmonton
