Deputy Director – Flight Services

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Management team, you will play a key role in the coordination, optimization, and supervision of activities related to Flight Services (ramp, cargo, catering, passenger transport, ground support equipment) for the Mirabel and Edmonton bases.
More specifically, you will be expected to:

Support team leaders and ground operations staff (occasional early-morning presence required).

Ensure the smooth execution of daily operations: ramp inspections, in-flight service compliance, GSE follow-up, fuel inventory oversight.

Coordinate logistical planning (cargo, catering, equipment).

Lead and support teams by ensuring clear communication, strong OHS follow-ups, and a human-focused leadership approach.

Participate in procedure writing, continuous improvement, and maintaining regulatory and SMS standards.
Requirements

Relevant experience in airport operations, logistics, or aviation.

Natural leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong interpersonal abilities and comfort working directly on the field.

Knowledge of SMS regulations (asset).

Bilingualism French/English required.
